Step 1: First thing you have to do is sign up to WordPress.com and sign up to WP.org (Free) at this time to make sure you have access to download and install the Visual Editor Gutenberg. In case you don’t have a website yet then start building your website by going to the free website builder which is WordPress.com.


Step 2: At the home page, select “Create a new site” to sign up for a free website. You will need an easy email address and password to use WordPress.com. You also need a strong password to protect your website. If you don’t want to use the easy and free WordPress.com you can also sign up at WordPress.org to create a free blog and install the Gutenberg editor in your site. WordPress.org is the better option because you can customize and make any changes you want. But WordPress.com is also very easy to use, and you can even create a free blog.


Step 3: After signing up, you will be brought to the Dashboard.


Step 4: Select a Theme and a color palette. For this tutorial, we are going to use the theme “Freelance” which is awesome, and you can use it for a freelance site. Click on Freelance under themes.


Step 5: Click on WordPress and then click on dashboard. Now click on add new to select a page and hit save.


Step 6: After adding a page, click on edit your profile to change the username and password. Also, you can change the About Me text and website link.


Step 7: You have completed with this basic setup. Now you can install or download the Gutenberg Visual Editor which is a visual content editor. You have to use the Download option in your WordPress Dashboard.


Step 8: Select the Download button or you can use your website browser to download the Visual Editor. It’s a big file and you have to upload it to your website. Now drag and drop the Visual Editor file from your file manager.


Step 9: The Visual Editor file will be installed. But if you want to add it to your WordPress Dashboard click on Add To Dashboard.


Step 10: Now click on “Appearance” and then click on “Add New”. You will find the Visual Editor widget.


Step 11: Just drag and drop the widget anywhere on your site page, or anywhere you want.
