5 Steps To Check Out On-Page SEO

1. Check out title tags

2. Check out meta description

3. Check out keywords within your page's content

4. Check out image alt tags

5. Check out meta-keywords

Let’s take a look at these all.

You will see, sometimes, they get the content just as they want. (Like “seo tips seo”, “tips for SEO”, etc.) and sometimes, the content is as they want (like “tips for the mobile version”, “mobile-friendly seo tips”).

In any case, make sure you have all the titles, meta descriptions, and keywords.

1.Check out title tags

The title tag of a page is usually the first thing search engines see when they scan a page. Make sure it has relevant keywords, is not too long, and is easy to read.

For example, this title tag is okay:

But this one is not:

2. Check out meta description

A meta description can help a search engine understand what a page is about. It is displayed in search results, so it is important that it is relevant to the page.

Make sure that your meta description contains all relevant keywords. Use your title tag as a suggestion.

Here are 2 examples of meta descriptions:

3. Check out keywords within your page’s content

Keywords help search engines understand what your page is about. Include keywords in the page title, the page body, and in other places throughout the page.

Use 2-4 keywords. It’s ok if your keywords appear in the same context.

Here is a keyword-rich page:

And here is a page that mentions its keywords but doesn’t use them. This page isn’t really that interesting.

4. Check out image alt tags

Another important factor in ranking high is the quality of the images on your website. Alt tags describe each image so search engines can better understand what they are about.

5. Check out meta-keywords

Some search engines (like Google) show a summary at the bottom of the search results. Make sure it’s accurate and that it doesn’t include keywords you don’t want.

Don't worry about being too repetitive.

The number of keywords you include is more important than how many keywords you include.
